Thanksgiving

And here is my annual list of free-association things I’m grateful for:
Socks - especially the kind where the line doesn’t rub my toes; my fuzzy, affectionate, insecure dog; the ability to read and write; the smell of cloves, cinnamon and vanilla; technology like the internet and iTunes and cable tv; the look in my Husband’s eyes when I make him laugh; my mother’s laugh when I’ve caught her being grumpy and she realizes it; my increasing ability to walk; the little life growing squirmy in my body; medications that actually work; friends who remember birthdays and anniversaries; my Husband who wants me to write from home and raise our children; family who is itchy with excitement to welcome my kid into the world; a loving, forgiving, just God; faith in something bigger than myself; several exciting opportunities that have recently come my way career-wise; a soft bed to snuggle in; a remote to fight over; Shabbat candles, bread and wine (though recently it’s been grape juice); the Christmas season; the way a gel-pen flows so easily over the smooth paper of my Moleskine notebook; ergonomic keyboards; cell phones with text; the fog that rolls over the mountains in the early morning; sleeping late; the feeling of a fully tummy; did I mention the sleeping?
God bless you all and I hope you have much to be thankful for. (Even my Canadian friends, though your Thanksgiving was last month.)
Mercurial out! (Until next Monday anyway…)

Haha…this post is lovely! And I’m LOVIN’ the pic! Would you believe it took me a while to get it?! LOL
Would you believe it took Husband staring at it for 60 seconds and asking “Why is the guy looking under the oven?” to get it. Haha!
