Sundry Thoughts

Life has been a little hectic lately. A good hectic, mind you, full of friends and events and work. Nevertheless it’s still a pace I’m unaccustomed to. Since I don’t have any cohesive stories to tell, I shall share some snippets and thoughts on the past few days:

Quotable Husband, on seeing my “down there” during labor: “I’m normally against ripping flesh anyway, and considering that’s where I get my jollies, I don’t want to see that!”

I would really like to know why Zoë’s farts smell so bad! I mean, DAMN!

A few thoughts on movie premieres:

1. They look much bigger and more glamorous on film.

2. Micro-minis expose your hoo-ha if you bend over, like, at all.

3. Stripper heels are not attractive on a red carpet, even if your dress is elegant.

4. It never ceases to amaze how disorganized these large events can be.

5. Why is it they spend thousands upon thousands on the movie, the lights, the performers and then skimp by serving you a drink that’s mostly ice with maybe 3 oz of cola?

On the other hand, having an intellectual friend with wit and a motor-mouth on par with one’s own makes a potentially “eh” night into an enjoyable one. Especially when she keeps loudly commenting on the size of women’s boobs falling out of their tops and muttering, “I’m gonna get my ass kicked, aren’t I?”

Denny’s at one in the morning is always a good idea.

Going to a hockey game when tired and pregnant is not always a great idea. Especially when a very yummy looking 12 oz Ruby’s shake is friggin’ $7.

It’s great when people are unexpectedly receptive to a concern you have, especially when you love that person dearly and lose sleep worrying about them.

In conclusion, go Ducks.
